Explanation: In John 14 Jesus told his disciples to let not their hearts be troubled. He told them to believe in him as they believed in God. He told them that he was going away to prepare a place for them and to receive them to himself. When Thomas said that he and the others did not know where Jesus was going and did not know the way, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Philip then asked to see the Father, and Jesus said that those who had seen him had seen the Father because he was in the Father and the Father was in him. He promised them that they would do great works through the Holy Spirit whom Jesus would send. He promised them that they would be loved by him and the Father, and he would manifest himself to them (1-21).
     Another question came from Judas, not Judas Iscariot, but Judas the brother of James who (in Matthew 10:3) was also called "Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus." Judas/Thaddaeus asked the Lord how he would manifest himself to the disciples but not to the world. Jesus said that this would be an inward manifestation given to those who loved and obeyed him. He also promised that the Holy spirit would bring all things to their remembrance that he had taught them. And he warned them that the Prince of This World (Satan) was coming (22-31).

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ²⁸ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. ²⁹ And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. ³⁰ Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. ³¹ But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
