Explanation: On Sunday of the Passion week, after Peter and John found Jesus' tomb empty, Mary Magdalene returned to the tomb and stood outside weeping (image 1, above). She stoped, looked within, and saw two angels who asked her why she was weeping. She told them she was seeking the Lord's body and turned away. Then Jesus asked her the same question, but she did not recognize him. She thought he was the gardener and asked him where he had put the body. But when Jesus called her by name she recognized him. She was overjoyed, but Jesus told her not to cling to him (image 2, above). Instead, he instructed her to tell his disciples that he was risen. She delivered this message, but they did not believe her.
